"What is this but a miracle of healing? Yet its elements are simple. Circumstances made him willing to believe. He humbly offered himself to his Maker-then he knew." I especially love the "then he knew" part. It sounds like, with God's help, anything is possible. 

I try to remember that I am not the source of Love but a "channel" like St. Francis talks about in his prayer. When my channel is open God's love flows through me easily to others. Unconditional love and service keeps the channel open and flowing. Fear, self-centeredness and ego close off the channel. When my channel is closed I'm running on my personal power, which is in reality no power at all.
